'The college offers an outstanding range of courses' (Ofsted March 2006)
The three-year Ruskin Mill Orientation Course is harvested from Rudolf Steiner's curriculum for Waldorf Education, woven into feedback from twenty years of graduates, and tailored to the unique needs, talents and aspirations of every new student.
In the first and second years, the Orientation Course develops clear thinking, emotional awareness and both practical and academic skills. In the third, the focus shifts to a vocational pathway, work experience and life beyond college. For a list of the subjects on offer please click on the pdf file below.
The curriculum is linked to the Subject Sector Category Number 14 "Preparing for Life and Work", as outlined in the LSC Quality Improvement Self assessment Guidance published in May 2005.
Its Educational Planning Cycle is likewise fully integrated with the LSC's Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement framework.
