The RMET Colleges
RMET operates three residential colleges for young people with learning difficulties, helping them make the transition from special education to a valuable and fulfilled life.
Though united under the leadership of the Trust, and sharing a common philosophy, each college is also firmly rooted in its local craft and commercial heritage:
Ruskin Mill College in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire was founded in 1987, with the emphasis on land and textiles; Glasshouse College in Stourbridge, West Midlands, opened in 2000 to specialise in hot and cold glass; and Freeman College in Sheffield accepted its first students in 2005, to focus on metalwork.
Each college also runs a cultural programme of exhibitions, concerts and workshops open to all.
