Developments & Plans

We are proud of what we have achieved over the past twenty years, and excited by our plans for the future, these include:

Hiram Academy:
Hiram Academy is a centre for staff training and development which is researching and developing specialist training for the trust's Practical Therapeutic Education: Human development, Goethean Science, Practical Skills.

The Hiram Academy is also developing a succession mindset through acquiring training and teaching resources, competence in adult learning, devising management training and leadership development.

Hygeia Health Centre:
The Hygeia Health Centre is a health facility at Freeman College which offers a range of complementary therapies such as massage, art therapy and movement.

Hygeia will in time embed itself into the city centre community and work to provide services to other Sheffield based health centres and GP practices- particularly in the field of trauma remediation.

Sustainability:
Since it's inception, ecology, sustainability and local economy has been at the heart of the Trust's thinking and practice.

From growing wholesome produce to feed the colleges, developing and engaging local resources, introducing alternative energy schemes, implanting conservation and recycling into the curriculum, to hosting conferences and workshops to address the key issues of our times.

With the effects of rapid growth and the increasing need to develop sustainable economies, the Trust is committed to developing partnerships and underpinning its broader educational goals.
